About Laura
Hi! I’m Laura, a mom of 2 girls raised in Lancaster, PA with a few stops along the way (Philly, Ithaca, Houston, NJ) and am now back in my hometown. I love helping women feel their best with a focus on cardiometabolic health (such as prediabetes or elevated cholesterol), sports nutrition, PCOS and weight management with a functional nutrition approach.
I completed a Master in Clinical Nutrition at Rutgers University and Master of Social Work from Temple University. I also attended the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. I am a licensed dietitian in Pennsylvania. I began my private practice in 2013 and also worked in the clinical setting at Newark Beth Israel Hospital.
Through my holistic nutrition training and personal experience, I began to appreciate the concept of
bio-individuality. What works for one person will not necessarily work for the next. I learned what I need to eat to have more energy, eliminate the bloating and mental fogginess, and feel my best. In the last ten years, I have worked with hundreds of women through 1:1 coaching or small groups and would love to hear your story and see if coaching might be a good fit for you to move forward in whatever area you feel stuck.
We'll look at your family history, recent lab values, as well as typical nutrient intake and put together a plan specific to you and your goals.
I don't have a 'label' for the way I eat or coach others to eat- I believe in loading up on nutrient dense foods but also making room for foods that brings you joy. It's about determining a balanced, sustainable way of eating that you can happily do for life.
Healthy should be a fun, delicious lifestyle, not a diet.
I also love to run and stay active and specialize in working with runners and endurance athletes, to fuel their bodies to perform and feel their best. I am an RRCA certified running coach and work with athletes to improve their fitness and reach race goals.
Life can feel busy and overwhelming, but creating healthier habits is doable and always worthwhile.

of small things brought together"
