Why you may not be losing weight, part 1

It's incredibly frustrating to be doing everything right and not feel like you are getting any results. We always hear 'calories in = calories out' but for many women, it is much more complicated than that. I'm going to cover several reasons your weight might be stuck, and part one is hormonal imbalances. Probably the two most common hormone imbalances I see in women are high cortisol and estrogen dominance. If your cortisol levels are are high, it is very difficult to lose weight. You may have heard of cortisol as the 'stress hormone' - it plays a very important role in a healthy body. However, if it is chronically high, it can lead to stubborn weight gain, particularly around the belly.
